If we’re going to aim for a consistently sustainable future, we need to adopt more environmentally friendly agricultural practices. On the last day of our conference, learn about how current practices are harming the environment and what we can do to amend these methods.
A leading environmental expert from Catalonia, Spain, Esteve began his journey in climate change after experiencing the first-hand effects of droughts and increased temperatures. As the founder of Youth & Harvest, Esteve is using the voice of the youth to help bring about change for the people who cannot.
Born in Maharashtra, India, Mohandas was brought up in a poor family relying on agriculture and farming as a form of sustenance. With constant droughts and lowering supply of water, in addition to the depleting resources in the soil, things were very difficult. As he grew up, he realized this wasn’t something only he was going through, which only boosted his passion for change and agriculture. Now speaking on behalf of the agriculture sector of India in the UN climate change conferences, he has come a long way. He believes in making positive changes as time goes on.
There are numerous sustainable agricultural practices that farmers can use on their crops. Join us as we present a panel of farmers who will discuss the methods they use and their pros and cons. And at the end, participate in a Q and A session where you can directly ask the farmers questions.

Our plant-together event is one of the most famous events of our conference. We send everyone a packet of seeds for a plant that is native to their region along with a booklet about how to care for the plant in an environmentally sustainable way. And during the event itself, we give everyone instructions on how to plant their seeds and all of us, from around the world, plant the seeds together.
One way for individuals to help the environment is by growing plants. More plants means more carbon dioxide taken from the atmosphere and turned into oxygen through photosynthesis. The best part is, planting is something that can be done by anyone! Moreover, the sustainable agricultural practices we teach help individuals become more mindful of the environment.
Do you want to participate in our plant together event? Fill out our form to register for the event. Get a plant chosen with your location in mind to protect local biodiversity!
1. Make sure that the plant you choose will thrive in the climate you’re in. Certain plants do better in certain temperatures and weather conditions and it’s important to keep that in mind when choosing your plant.
2. Ensure that your plant isn’t an invasive species to the area. We don’t want to hurt the environment through this project.
3. You can either plant seeds or seedlings. They need to be planted in different ways, so make sure to look at the instructions that came with the plant or research your specific plant.
4. Choose a spot for your plant that has optimal sunlight during the day and is close to a water source to make sure that your plant really thrives. For an additional benefit, choose a location that you see all the time so you don’t forget about your plant.
5. When it comes to watering your plant, make sure you don’t do it too much or too little. The standard rule is to water your plants 1 inch per week, maybe more during summer. But, like with everything, this is subjective to each plant.
