There's trash in the seas, trash in the forests, trash that has polluted the world we live in. 75% of this trash is made of paper, plastic, and glass, which are all recyclable. Yet only 9% of these materials actually do get recycled. Numerous factors contribute to these low numbers, from how we manage our waste systems to the unavailability of recycling in many regions. This has to change, as pollution of the environment hurts not only the animals that live there, but also humanity. Tune in for Day 2 of our conference to learn more about this topic!

To raise awareness, we’ve come up with a fun way to recycle: by recycling materials into art! Gather all the recyclable materials you can find, and create whatever you can think of. You can use plastic bottles, cardboard, glass, even paper bags, as long as it’s renewable. Work in teams or even individually to complete this project. To make this even more fun, post it on TikTok, and gather views. Just remember to add our hashtag when you post. May the most viewed TikTok, aka the best recycler, win!
We’ve also made helping combat pollution a whole lot easier and more fun! Organize a trash pickup or clean-up day in your local area, with friends, family, or a group of people. Send us a plan of what you would like to accomplish and we will send you everything you need and get you in contact with a member of our organization to help you out. At the end of the day, all we ask of you is to send us info on how much trash you’ve collected and a picture for our records and shoutouts! Unlike most events, this one will last for a while, so contact us when you want and help make a difference for you and the people around you!
